Get Serious About Your Security

If you are concerned about your home or business security,

AGP has been your total security answer since 2005.

To properly protect your assets, your loved ones and yourself – you need  a Total Security Plan. Locksmiths and security alarm companies are simply not enough. Your entire security environment needs to be examined and a plan needs to be developed.

Why?... Because criminals can and will find your vulnerable points.

Scott Franer built AGP from the frustrations he has experienced in

the locksmith & security and alarm trades -and- from his extensive police background.

No home nor business needs to be a sitting duck for criminals

thanks to AGP Lock & Security.

A vast network of security cameras set up for the Winter Olympics doesn't go on line officially until next week, but it's already nabbed its first miscreant. More than a thousand new closed-circuit cameras will be in place monitoring the boundaries of Olympic venues and spots in Vancouver and Whistler where crowds will gather. More

American Canyon, Calif., considering fines for false alarms
Too much police department time and manpower is used to respond to false burglar alarms at homes and businesses, and city officials say fines may be the logical answer. Vice Mayor Ed West asked city staff to research how other cities address the issue so officials can decide on an appropriate approach. More

Cost is affecting video surveillance adoption, says research group
Research company Frost & Sullivan has recently released its "Asia Pacific Video Surveillance Market" report. The report "provides country specific response of the market for video surveillance cameras, digital video recorders (DVRs), network video recorders (NVRs), video servers, and surveillance software. In this research, Frost & Sullivan's expert analysts thoroughly examine the following geographic regions: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, ANZ, emerging countries, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, India, and Japan." Research and Markets issued a summary statement of the overall Asia-Pacific video surveillance market that reflects global pressures put upon security by cost-sensitive buyers. Among those price sensitivities are the price comparisons between analog and IP cameras, and the price differentiation between established brands and the "low-cost products from countries such as China and Taiwan." Metadata in IP video surveillance and monitoring: operational benefits and cost savings
All organizations have to face the costly challenge of the storage and management of their valuable data. In the sphere of security, where visual data is indispensable, any avenues that make the capture, storage and retrieval of that information more efficient will command budget attention. One of the inevitable costs of a comprehensive security operation is the money and resources required to store weeks of largely irrelevant security film, and also to identify and retrieve the relevant material from the archives when needed. What can make metadata—or data about data—economically attractive is being able to save on those resources. More
